We are based in Victoria British Columbia, Canada. ICDANet was founded to help bridge the digital divide based on Canadian technological advancement and Canadian Government agenda that makes Canada as the most wired country in Developed world.

Internet access and the skills to use it effectively are vital to make a business successful in the world marketplace. In order to market products internationally, make use of the resources available online and operate a modernized business, computers are vital. Also, because of this phenomenon, employers require employees that have computer skills.

Digital Communities bring Internet-based communication and education solutions to the worldwide community. The community's computer literacy levels rise as people learn how to use wireless kiosks and public access points in civic buildings. This not only increases citizen satisfaction, but creates new job opportunities by raising the skills of the workforce and better equipping workers for success in the global knowledge economy.

Making internet accessible to communities in the developing world means that they will have more readily available the information that is necessary to improving their standard of life. The internet can be used as a tool to disperse information regarding these issues. Education is key to achieving these goals. The vast amounts of information that the internet makes available, can be used to as a means to bring education about HIV/AIDS, infantile and maternal health, disease prevention and women's issues.

The United Nations Millennium Development Goals also include In cooperation with the private sector, make available the benefits of new technologies - especially information and communications technologies. ICDANet was created to help bridge the digital divide that prohibits access to technology by providing computers to schools in developing areas of the world and instructing teachers on how to share the computer and information technologies with their students.

ICDANet proposes to send computers to Kenya in order to provide internet access and Computer Training in schools and to the Community at large. By establishing a Computer lab in the community and installing computers in local schools, the project will aid local businesses, equip local residence with employable skills and provide internet access to the community at large.
